I meet Caroline and Paul about year before their own wedding, when Caroline was a bridesmaid and Paul an usher at his brother’s wedding. I was delighted when Caroline got in touch, to say Paul and herself were getting married and would love me to capture their special day. Doxford Hall in Northumberland was the setting. Its a beautiful location for a wedding, from stunning grounds to grand interiors. Hope you enjoy there story below.
Caroline sent me this lovely message after the wedding.
“Paul and I first met Phil when he was photographer for Paul’s brother’s wedding and we were extremely impressed with the very high standard of his work. So when we began to plan our own wedding, we knew without considering any other photographers, that we wanted Phil for the job. We were not disappointed with our decision!
Phil put a tremendous amount of work into our special day, meeting with us before hand and working with us to develop a plan of what pictures we wanted and when e.g. groups, getting ready etc. This made us feel that we were in good hands from the beginning! His friendly yet professional manner helped to put our guests at ease and allowed him to get lots of relaxed and natural shots of our family and friends. He moved around the rooms quietly and discreetly capturing many pictures from many different angles. His attention to detail was exceptional, capturing the personal moments, especially the emotional expressions of ourselves and our guests throughout the day. We love his use of soft focus and black and white pictures, giving our photographs a timeless and classic look. Everyone who has seen them has commented on how amazing they look. Phil was with us from the early morning until our first dance on the evening, providing us with a way to look back on the whole day from beginning to (almost) the end!
We can’t thank Phil enough for our beautiful photographs capturing the many wonderful memories of our special day. We would definitely recommend him to anyone!”
