The Inn On The Lake Wedding Photography with Matt & Ruth.

I am lucky; I spend a good few weeks of the year in the Lake District, having a family home in Windermere. Every time I get the opportunity to shoot there, I get rather excited so you can imagine how I felt when I received Matt and Ruth's email:
"We are keen cyclists and runners (having completed the Hellvelyn tri last year too) so would like some adventurous photos - possibly on the hills up the pass towards the struggle." My kind of people!
Matt and Ruth live in Cheshire but chose The Inn On The Lake, Glenridding; situated by Ullswater Lake. It served as an amazing background for their outdoor service, in October.
“Well when I met Matt he had never been to the Lake District, whereas I had grown up going to the lakes every year with my family so I was keen to share this amazing place with him. Matt instantly loved the place as much as I did and so since then we have spent many happy weekends walking, running, swimming and biking in the lakes and said if we ever got married we would want to get married in the Lakes. Then last year I completed the Hellvelyn Triathlon, which starts and finishes in Glenridding with the swim actually in Ullswater so we spent lots of weekends training in Glenridding and just loved the area and the views from the Inn on the Lake and decided it was the perfect place for us to tie the knot! I challenge anyone to go to the lakes and not fall in love with the place!”
Ruth looked amazing in her Surinder Vintage lace dress, which was handmade by Mel at Joan Brown Vintage Bridal Accessories and Dresses, in Leek. Mel also made Ruth's headpiece which was originally a set of her Grandma's pearls. Matt rocked a Hugo Boss suit, while they both donned Hunter wellies for the mountain climb!
