Gemma and Paul’s wedding at the stunning Shortflatt Tower, in September 2013. I had a blast taking the photographs. Such a lovely and chilled out couple; It was a joy to be part of. Everything was fab. In Shortflatt Tower, I have to say it’s now one of my favourite locations in the north-east, love shooting here.
Gemma and Paul hired the Tower exclusively for the full weekend, for their friends and family to enjoy. Gemma relaxed and stayed there the night before. I met up with her and her bridesmaids, the morning of the wedding, to capture a few shots. Luckily the weather was fab so we could get outside for a bit. I then went off to meet Paul and the Groomsmen at his local pub, they were enjoying a couple pints in the sun. Looking very smart to their suits, which were tailor made by Paul’s freind. The church was only a little walk from the pub. It was great to have a little walk and a laugh with the lads at this point.
After the service it was back to Shortflatt Tower where Michelle, the wedding planner, did an amazing job making the marquee look so elegant. The speeches went down a blast, lots and lots of laughter.
On the evening I had our studio set-up for guests to write messages on. The images have then been turned into Gemma and Paul’s guest book. I love doing this, its such a personal and fun thing to have to look back on.
