Turnberry Resort Wedding Photography
When Lara asked me if I’d travel over the border to document her and Mike’s day, I was delighted. Then to find it was to be on the stunning west coast of Scotland at Trump Turnberry Resort, I was a little excited! The location for their Hunminist service was on a balcony, with just the most amazing view. Fact of the day: The island in the view is Ailsa Craig, which is where Curling stones are made.
This is a classic love story of childhood sweethearts. They’ve been together since they met at school, at 15, in the Philippines. It all started with a bit of footsie under the table, which developed into following one another around the world! Their parents are also best friends, which truly makes this a family affair; the make up was done by Lara’s talented sister, Shaun, and the hair accessories were handmade by her gran! It was also a real international affair with friends and family travelling from all over the world: USA, Australia, Korea, Philippines, Indonesia, France, Thailand as well as England! That’s a lot of love in the room. I’ve known Lara a few years now, she’s a fellow photographer. As well as Lara, her mam, Kate, is also a photographer, as well as a number of the guests. No pressure!
Now time for their story.
